Making calls & setting up dates!

I have the day off today from training! I am making calls and setting up dates to pass out fliers and hopefully sell Rescue Her products. So far Walmart has given me July 4th which is the day after my half. Oh well it is something.

If anyone has any ideas as to how I can still give a speal about my half the day after it, please post something on here or FB.

In a couple of weeks, I will be hosting an info night at my house. I will show Rescue Her's video, read some facts, and stories. I will have Rescue Her items on hand and I will take orders. I want it to be a relaxed evening; so, I will talk and then we will kick back with some Zoe(Rescue Her)coffee!
I feel that the ball is starting to roll on this one! Please remember me this Saturday at 7 am as I will be doing 9 miles for the 1st time!

Basic info on my half

Training started: January 2, 2011

Half Marathon: May

Where: Texas

How far: 13.1 miles

Experience: This is my 2nd half marathon

and both for Rescue Her.

How: jog/walk(1st one I did 75%jogging!)

Progression: Starting with a half marathon under my belt.

I could not do the last two due to a hurt foot and a stomach bug that took me out for almost 3 weeks.

Feelings: Just want this to be a part of life! And a part of doing something for the girls trafficked or at risk of being trafficked!

Things to remember: Pray for those trapped and at risk for human trafficking! Also I pray for the men that use them. I pray to keep my eyes focused and fixed on Jesus!

Why I am training for the half

I set out with hopes to be fit not thin. I have always set out to be thin and I wanted fitness to be my goal this time(little did I know, it would not be my only goal). I began training in April. Shortly after training started, a friend on FB founded Rescue Her, an organization to help stop human trafficking.

In November, I read about human trafficking and I was apalled at what I read. I wanted to do something but didn't. Rescue Her was my opportunity do something. I decided I could just start by doing my half marathon for this cause.

I want to raise awareness and help fight this atrocity. If all I do is save ONE then I have done what I set out to do.
