Wednesday training!

I did my 40 min. of walking but felt like I needed more. I know that I did say that I was in this to be fit not thin but it is nice to have my clothes fitting me looser. I can even tell when I run or jog that i feel stronger and lighter. I still want my focus to be on the right things. I want my walks to be about good health and helping stop modern day slavery.
I was asked today what the statistics were for here in the states. Here are some stats about human trafficking(thanks to Rescue Her's site):

Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world.

The average cost of a slave around the world is $90. The estimated profits from one trafficked woman alone is around $250,000 a year!

32 billion: dollars generated from human trafficking

Every 30 seconds a child is trafficked!

800,000: people trafficked across national borders annually
80 percent women and girls
50 percent are children

An estimated 14,500 to 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked into the United States each year. The number of U.S. citizens trafficked within the country is even higher, with an estimated 200,000 American children at risk for trafficking into the sex industry.

An estimated 2.5 million children, the majority of them girls, are sexually exploited in the multibillion dollar commercial sex industry
